After fiddling around for many years, I finally found a good trick to give the exterior walls of my miniature projects quite a realistic look.
After you've made a choice of color (preferably acrylic paint), give your walls one or two coats with a simple paint brush and let dry.
Then simply apply the last coat with a sponge. Depending on the final look you wish to achieve, you should choose what kind of sponge you're gonna use. In my next post, I will try to add a pic in which you can see the details more closely. I think that for an exterior wall, the texture can be a little bit more rough, but you may as well use the same technique for your interior walls
Have fun trying that out
See ya
