Hello my mini friends
Today I wanted to talk about adding your real family photos to your miniatures rooms
I mean, if you look for a personal touch to add, well, nothings beats this, believe me
Once you start adding personal pictures to your miniature scenes, the entire thing becomes even more realistic. Like in this little room box I made for my friend Nadine, I added this picture of her and her husband on their wedding day. On the other side of the room box are photos of her cats

This is one little corner of my scrapbook shop, where I added a few pictures of our last NYC trip. One has been taken on the SATC tour and the other two are from my hubby's birthday at the TAVERN ON THE GREEN in Central Park
There 3 are hanging in the hall on the 1st floor of the Grosvenor Hall Dollhouse. The upper one shows me with my parents on a vacation in Greece, the second one has been taken in Italy (Lago di Garda), showing me and my hubby and the 3rd one is me and Evelyne, one of my very best friends. We started out as colleagues at work and ended up as really good friends :-)

to the garden cottage I made for her as a birthday gift
The technique to make those it fairly simple, you do of course need to have your pictures on your computer, but I guess these days, everybody does
Copy/paste the photo of your choice to a program on your computer in which you can resize it (PAGES on Mac works great for me). Once you've got the correct size, print it out on either glossy or matt photo paper (your choice) and frame it
It's as easy as that
And it's fun to see your own face in your dollhouse
